I've first heard @poetsofthefallband at around 2015, then later with their release of Carnival of Rust and more recently with Control and Alan Wake 2, and they've consistently delivered great songs. This was my first time seeing them live and it was quite impressive: besides some issues that were not at all the band's fault they started a bit late, but they delivered more than I definitely expected, with loads of songs, interaction with the crowd and immense energy for a band that has been on the road for 20 years. They definitely went to my top bands to see live! Thanks again electric ballroom for the opportunity, it's always great shooting there!

So the interviewer is telling how PotF has published new acoustic versions of their old songs during corona.
He's congratulating Marko on turning 50 years old and is asking if that's a time for introspection.

Marko is saying how it's a time for good introspection. To stop and think; where you've been, where you're going, what roads you chose and find the moments to cherish at this time.

Interviewer is saying that Marko has spent half of his life amongst music, so did Marko ask himself if it was time well spent.

Marko says it is something he thinks about, as to how he has lived so far and how he wants to live from now on. He's saying it's a good thing to stop and think about such things even without turning 50.
He's telling how his friend had turned recently 50, realized they had been living for other people and wants to start living for themselves. He says it's a good thing to realize the difference between living for other people and living for yourself and how to balance them.
Interviewer is saying how they had time to talk backstage and he's saying how Marko feels like a balanced person. Marko thanks him and says that he got the same feeling about the interviewer.

Interviewer is asking if there's any new paths in mind after 50.
Marko is saying how everything in his life is good, considering circumstances (=korona). Though there has been ups and down, there's always been a light at the end of the tunnel and he's happy where he is. Daily life is going to continue as it has so far, you can always change bits and pieces while going where you're going, but no need to make any huge life altering changes.

Interviewer is saying that korona has been life altering to PotF and all other bands, but PotF started doing acoustic versions of old songs in Alexander theatre, that gave new taste and change to the usual.

Marko is saying it's an idea they've had for a while but last year wanted to start doing it. They released a video or two in the beginning of the year and then korona hit and everything changed. He's saying it's kind of "exciting" to see the empty theatre where they're playing, and it gets a whole new meaning in march when they released the third video and all the restrictions happened (in Finland). It gave chills to everyone (of them) thinking that it's no longer fiction, the empty theater, but it's reality when everything is shut down and gigs cancelled. But the project was interesting and they had thought what songs to try to change and how different the experience will be, like Lift for example.

Interviewer says it's time to sample one song.

Interviewer is saying how the old saying of "hunger grew while eating" probably applies here, as this sample was from the beginning where it was only a man and a guitar, but then started to grow into other instruments.

Marko says it happened from the very beginning, because first thought was to film them in the studio with just a phone. He says that maybe they have an inner ambition with these things and ended up doing it in a theatre and they kept updating things, just out of heir own curiosity, and making things bigger, adding instruments and making the songs different.

Interviewer is saying that Marko and the band has had another project of having chatting sessions online with fans. He's asking what it means.
Marko says that once a month when they upload a video from the sessions, they have an open chat at the "premiere" where everyone can join worldwide, no matter the time zone, to chat for an hour or two and then the band joins in and answers questions etc.

Intervierwer is asking how many people are there usually.
Marko says it ranges from few hundreds to a few thousand.

Interviewer says Marko had his own chat on his birthday that had more people. Marko says it wasn't a chat session but that over 100 000 people ended up celebrating his birthday all over social media.

Interwiever asks how does it feel.
Marko says it's hard to understand. He quickly says it feels awesome, but at the same time it's hard to comprehend how some many people even know about it. One thing for him to stop and think about. Someone collected some of the messages and they are something to read even after he retires.

Interviewer keeps saying isn't it unreal, and Marko says it's very unreal. It makes him laugh, shake his head and heart beat faster, while also making him realize that no matter the ups and downs in life he has managed to do something good, when people are so touched and want to give good back to him.

Interviewet says that in the music industry ups and downs are a normal thing. He's saying it's easy when things are good, but when things are going bad, what is the... he looks for words and Marko offers "driving force" which the interviewer agrees with.

Marko says that on the retrospective, after a long career, a musician can see that you can never constantly be "up" and riding the wave. It's a natural thing to have the lows... They have released something new every 2 years and then they're more known and in public, but then it gets more quiet. Those are important times too.

Interviewer asks if one starts to question at those times, like "was that it?".
Marko says that those thoughts might pass fleetingly at those times, but they might come along even on the highs.
He says that the driving force is (your) own enthusiasm and passion, to make the music and live the certain life style. It gets stronger when you see that what you do does have a positive influence on your surroundings.
Marko explains in a complicated way to translate, that art and music can be a positive influence even if not everyone knows about the art in question.

Interviewer closes with "when you're doing what you love"
Marko agrees.
